Consolidated Metropolitan District
109 Tamarisk Trail or P.O. Box 6116; Battlement Mesa, CO 81635; (970) 285-9050. Provides water and sewer services to residents of Battlement Mesa Public Utilities District (PUD). The Consolidated Metropolitan District (CMD) is a Special District organized under Title 32 of the Colorado Revised Statutes.
The CMD also purchased and operates the Activity Center. The Activity Center was purchased from the Battlement Mesa Metropolitan District after a general election because of the financing involved. CMD also cooperates with Garfield County and the Battlement Mesa Service Association in certain instances for storm drainage and street repairs. All proposed new developments within the PUD must have their water and sewer lines approved by the CMD.
CMD’S Board of Directors regularly meets the on fourth Thursday of each month, at 2:00 p.m., at the Battlement Mesa Activity Center. The Board of Directors is made up of 5 members, who are elected at-large on the first Tuesday in May of even years.

Garfield County Sheriff's Auxiliary
A volunteer organization that acts as extra eyes and ears for the County Sheriff. The Auxiliary patrosl the area in the police cruiser at least 5 times per week. The office is located at 77 Tamarisk Trail, and is open from noon until 2:00 Monday, Wednesday and Friday and from 9:00 until noon on Saturday. Besides patrols, the Auxiliary will make VIN inspections, take fingerprints, do vacation house checks, are school crossing guards, sell dog licenses, register bicycles, hold an annual bicycle derby and help with traffic control when they are needed. They meet on the third Tuesday of the month in the office at 6:00 p.m and welcome new volunteers. Call 285-9261 for more information.
