Air Transport
Battlement Mesa community has three different airports within one hour plus of the community. Each has a good variety of air travel options to just about any place in the world.
Walker Field Airport - Grand Junction, Colorado.
The airport is located on the east side of Grand Junction approximately 1 mile from I-70 on Horizon Drive. There are over 19 daily departures to Denver, Phoenix and Salt Lake City. Airlines are United Express, America West Express, and Delta. In addition there are seven car rental companies at the terminal.

Eagle County Airport – Eagle, Colorado
The airport is approximately one hour east of Battlement Mesa and about 2 miles south of I-70. In the winter, American, Continental, Delta, Northwest, United, United Express, and US Airways provide non stop service to over 13 major U. S. cities. In the summer American and United offer flights to Chicago, Denver and Dallas Fort Worth.

Aspen/Pitkin County Airport – Aspen, Colorado
The airport is approximately 20 miles south of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, on highway 82. The airport handles a large number of executive aircraft in addition to the commercial service. The airport is serviced by United Express, America West Express and Northwest Airlines.

Greyhound Bus Line
Service can be accessed from either Grand Junction Colorado (50 miles west of Battlement Mesa) or Glenwood Springs Colorado (45 miles east of Battlement Mesa).
Battlement Mesa Shuttle Service
This service was formed by the Battlement Mesa Company to provide transportation to senior residents who were unable to drive. There are two vans. One travels to Grand Junction on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the other van operates in the Battlement Mesa/Parachute community Monday through Friday. Reservations can be made by calling 970/285-9740.
Rail Transport
Amtrak
Rail service is available daily out of either Grand Junction, Colorado, (50 miles west of Battlement Mesa) or Glenwood Springs, Colorado, (45 miles east of Battlement Mesa). Details on schedules, fares, etc can be obtained by calling 1/800-USA RAIL or via the internet.
