Don't Miss Doug Mishler's portrayal of Henry Ford, Saturday, October 11th, 2 PM

Doug Mishler, one of the premier historical portrayers in the county, will make his third appearance in Battlement Mesa when he takes on the role of Henry Ford at the Grand Valley Historical Society’s Fall Meeting on Saturday, October 11th at 2:00 pm at the Historical Battlement Mesa Schoolhouse. Doug, who has given memorable performances as Theodore Roosevelt and PT Barnum in past visits, is a member of the famous Chautauqua Historical Players. He holds a PhD in American Cultural History and has taught and lectured throughout the country as well as giving hundreds of historical presentations and one-man shows.

Henry Ford, one of America’s leading industrialists at the beginning of the 20th Century, used assembly line techniques to produce automobiles affordable to the average American. He also held very controversial opinions about politics, labor unions and world affairs, which he did not hesitate to share with the public. Mishler’s performance of Ford will bring the views of this interesting and colorful man to life.

The presentation is open to the public (donations always welcome) and refreshments will be served after the presentation.

The Historical Society is very fortunate to feature a speaker of Doug Mishler’s caliber once again and we hope you will take advantage of the opportunity to see him perform.  This is one performance you don’t want to miss!
