Nestled on a mesa in the picturesque western slope of the Rocky Mountains, Battlement Mesa, an unincorporated 3,200 acre, residential community, offers a 360 degree diorama of breathtaking views. Situated just a mile from Colorado’s major east-west highway, I-70, Battlement Mesa is located midway between Grand Junction and Glenwood Springs. Both towns offer a varied selection of shops and restaurants, as well as full calendars of social and cultural activities. Grand Junction also has an airport with direct flights to Denver as well as many other western cities. The smaller, authentic, Old West towns of Parachute and Rifle are also nearby.

Battlement Mesa’s location is ideal because you can reach almost every popular resort destination in Colorado within two hours. While mountainous, central Colorado is known worldwide for its ski resorts, western Colorado -- where Battlement Mesa is located -- offers a mild four-season climate, with an average daytime temperature of 68 degrees. Residents and visitors have easy access to hunting, ski resorts, fishing, hunting, hiking, golfing, rafting, camping, and other outdoor activities for every season.
Battlement Mesa offers an ideal location from which to depart for vacations throughout the West or for one-day trips to impressive sites, such as the Colorado National Monument or Rifle Falls State Park. If you travel by RV, you’ll be glad to know Battlement Mesa has a full service RV park and a lighted RV storage facility. Open year-round, it offers complete hookups with water, electricity, cable TV, restrooms, showers, dump station and phone.
