Battlement Mesa, in Garfield County, Colorado is just across the river from Colorado's major east-west interstate highway, I-70, which provides easy access to Glenwood Springs and Grand Junction via a mere 30 to 40 minute drive through magnificent mesas, valleys and canyons.  As Colorado's major east-west interstate highway, I-70 is well maintained and, portions of the highway are even quite new (completed in the 1990's).  In normal driving conditions, it is a three-hour drive to Denver; Colorado's Capital City.

Bus Service

Greyhound Bus Line services are available from either Grand Junction, 45 minutes west of Battlement Mesa, (970.242.6012) or from Glenwood Springs, Colorado, 30 minutes east of Battlement Mesa, (970.945.8501).  Details on schedules, fares, etc. are available at greyhound.com.

Rail Service

Rail service on the California Zephyr is available daily from either Grand Junction, Colorado, (45 minutes west of Battlement Mesa) or Glenwood Springs, Colorado (30 minutes east of Battlement Mesa).  Details on schedules, fares, etc. can be obtained by calling 800-USA-RAIL or via the internet at amtrak.com
